Networking Key Services (NKS) and Edinburgh Lothian Regional Equality Council (ELREC) are leading organizations dedicated to advocating for the rights and wellbeing of ethnic minority communities, in Edinburgh. Along with all other aspects, we intend to work towards creating an inclusive society through policy advocacy, support services, and community engagement. Our mission is to promote social justice, equality, and access to opportunities for all. 

Role Overview: 

 We are seeking a committed and experienced Policy Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing a strategic model for the C3R Project, focusing on ethnic minority communities and climate injustice. This includes analysing the project framework, conducting focus groups and interviews, and identifying key gaps in addressing climate justice. 

 A major aspect of the role will be producing detailed reports with policy recommendations, aimed at influencing policymakers and key stakeholders. The Policy Officer will also be responsible for compiling a C3R Partnership Toolkit, which will document key learnings, successes, challenges, and recommendations to enhance future co-projects within communities. 

 The role will involve extensive policy research, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy efforts to amplify diverse voices in environmental policy-making, ensuring inclusivity and fairness in addressing climate justice for marginalised communities.
