We offer one-to-one support for people from BAME communities dealing with fuel poverty.

Since September 2022, our Ethnic Minority Energy Advice project has been actively helping members of BAME communities in Edinburgh with their energy issues. Many of our clients don’t speak English, so providing them with a source of support has been  especially important.

What we’re up to:

Energy Surgeries at ELREC: We’re running energy surgeries at ELREC every two weeks in partnership with an energy advisor from Citizen Advice Edinburgh. Clients can come by for personalized advice and support.

Community Outreach: We’re actively reaching out to various ethnic communities to raise awareness about energy issues and the support available. Our outreach efforts aim to ensure that everyone knows about the resources and help they can access.

New Drop-in Service at the Ukrainian Club: We’ve started a new monthly drop-in service at the Ukrainian Club to meet the specific needs of the Ukrainian community.
