Project Sessional Worker – Tenancy and Support Service
Location: Edinburgh
Type: Part-Time, Temporary
Duration: Until the 25th of February 2025
Salary: £13 per hour
Hours of work: 12 per week (Monday-Friday)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Project Sessional Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation and delivery of ELREC’s Tenancy and Support Service.
The service provides guidance, information, and support to low-income and migrant people on private renting regarding their rights and responsibilities as tenants, any discrimination they may face, and disputing the resolutions. Furthermore, the project aims to empower and educate BAME communities on their housing rights and navigating their way to seek resolutions on housing concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing project activities and workshops effectively.
Conduct community outreach to maximise the engagement with the project.
Work alongside project leaders to achieve project objectives and milestones.
Monitor project progress, identify issues, and propose solutions.
Attend project meetings and contribute to the decision-making process.
Provide administrative support.
Ability to work with diverse communities.
Qualifications:
- Strong links to an ethnic minority community in Edinburgh.
- Fluency in a language spoken by an ethnic minority community.
- Any experience of local Housing is preferred but not essential.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
