Greece – Intercultural Competencies

In August 2021 ELREC staff members and volunteers went to Rethimno in Greece to attend a week-long course on Intercultural Competencies.

Thanks to the EU Erasmus Plus of the European Union for this amazing learning opportunity.

“The great Cretan writer, Nikos Kazantzakis, once said ‘true teachers use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross’ – Thank you so much to all at EELI and Yannis, for being that bridge to the wonderful land and people of Crete! Cheers,”

Egypt – World Youth Forum

In January 2022, our Administrator Franciele Sobierai joined the World Youth Forum in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt. The World Youth Forum is a platform built by promising youth. It sends a message of peace, prosperity, harmony, and progress to the entire world. It engages youth from around the globe in an enriching set-up, allowing them to exchange views and recommend initiatives to decision-makers and influential figures.

Testimony: “I am thrilled to have had a chance to join this event, I have engaged with policymakers and networked with youth from different parts of the world. In addition to this, I attended many interesting workshops such as “Towards a safer and more inclusive world for women” and “How to combat climate change”. It was a wonderful and enriching adventure, thanks to ELREC for all the support given to me and thanks to WYF for funding this experience.”
