Youth Zone

The Youth Zone is a space created for all young people in Edinburgh with different cultural backgrounds who are looking for employment, higher education or volunteering opportunities.

We provide support and advice every step of the way in:

  • improving, developing or perfecting your employment skills (communication, critical thinking, confidence or self-esteem)
  • learning how to improve your CV
  • learning what to do and not to do at a job interview
  • meeting other young people in your community

If you are looking for a job, volunteering opportunity, increase your work experience or choose an academic path, the Youth Zone is for you. If you are unsure about what you want or where to start, the Youth Zone can help. If you are thinking about College, higher education or entering a profession and need some guidance, the Youth Zone is here. If you are looking for training opportunities, the Youth Zone offers plenty of it.

We are taking a short break. There will be no drop-in session on 10th May. We will be back on the 17th!

Since ELREC has become a partner of Eurodesk UK, during our drop-in sessions you will also have the chance to receive information about European opportunities for young people. Why not boosting the CV with some international experience? There are a lot of funded opportunities to be discovered. Eurodesk UK is an information and support service to help young people and youth organisations find out about opportunities in Europe.

The European Youth Week 2017 is coming!
For the occasion, our drop-in session on Wednesday, 3rd May, will be dedicated to European opportunities.

Are you wondering how to travel and volunteer abroad for free? Would you like to participate in youth exchanges but do not know how? Ask the Youth Zone!!!
Write your question to by Monday, May 1st.
To find out the answer, come to our Eurodesk drop-in on Wednesday, May 3rd!
Some surprises are awaiting the ones that will join us on that day!
